Marilyn Monroe is one of the most photographed women in history.
And yet — the quiet moments are the ones that haunt me.
In this piece, I wasn’t interested in spectacle.
I was interested in stillness.
The way she rests her face in her hand.
The way her body folds inward.
The space between persona and person.
The flowers bloom at her feet — dimensional, unapologetically pink — as if emotion itself has weight and texture.
The butterflies hover above her. Transformation is always in progress.
When I embroider Marilyn, I’m not stitching the myth.
I’m stitching the woman.
